Ethically Kate's Top 5 Clean Beauty Products

I’ve always been conscious of what I put INTO my body, but for the past few years I’ve learnt that what I put ON TO my body is so important for my health too. HealthPost has been an eye opener for my clean beauty journey, and I’m constantly stopping by their Ethical by Nature Promise as a guide for all my clean beauty decisions. The HealthPost Ethical by Nature Promise is a major time saver, but ultimately, a world changer too. The promise helps to avoid wasted hours scrolling websites that are full of jargon and contradictions, and it exists so you can make a mindful choice for your health and the health of our earth. It’s simple: with HealthPost's Ethical by Nature Promise, every new product is carefully checked by their Naturopaths to ensure it delivers on Aotearoa’s leading ethical, ingredient and environmental standards. If it’s made the grade, you can be sure it’s a kinder choice for both you and our planet.

The Ethical by Nature Promise has allowed me to make the right decisions when it comes to what I put on my body, and I’m excited to review 5 clean beauty products I adore. These 5 products fit under this promise and align with my values.

Living Nature Eyeshadow Compact

1. Living Nature Eyeshadow

The Living Nature Eyeshadow palette is first and foremost the only eye shadow palette I’ve found that is plastic free and refillable! With the help of ingredients such as organic jojoba seed oil, iron oxide, and cornstarch, the eye shadow stays on for an entire day. It’s easy to apply with my fingers, and I completely trust the gentle natural minerals on my eyes.

Ethique The Guardian Conditioner Bar

2. Ethique The Guardian Conditioner Bar

This is the product my friends and family hear me rave about the most. The Guardian Conditioner comes as a plastic-free bar, and is a breeze to run through my locks after shampooing. A little goes a long way, and my hair is always left silky smooth. I enjoy the nourishment of the bar’s coconut oil, and the smell of lime essential oil is dreamy.

Tailor Skin Care Oil Cleanse

3. Tailor Skin Care Oil Cleanse

A friend recommended this to me months ago. I’m pleased to say; it definitely lives up to the hype. As a 2-in-1 product, the Tailor Oil Cleanse is perfect for my minimal regime. It takes off my makeup, but also cleanses my face without striping it of it’s natural oils. There are only 6 ingredients in this oil cleanse, including sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, and New Zealand Kanuka Essential Oil. No wonder it’s won beauty awards!

Weleda Skin Food Body Butter

4. Weleda Skin Food Body Butter

I don’t know about you, but my skin is incredibly dry in winter; sometimes it even cracks and bleeds. That’s why Weleda Skin Food Body Butter is essential for my beauty routine. I rub this product into my legs and elbows at night, and see the results of soft and hydrated skin in the morning. Filled with leaf and flower extracts, as well as shea butter, the formula is non greasy and absorbs quickly. I am thankful for my confidence in HealthPost's Ethical by Nature Promise, as body butter is a product that comes into contact with a large portion of my skin.

Dr Hauschka Eye Make-Up Remover

5. Dr Hauschka Eye Make-Up Remover

Paired with a reusable makeup pad, the Dr Hauschka Eye Make-Up Remover is moving its way up in my favourites list. I simply shake, apply, and watch as it takes off even waterproof mascaras. The scent is subtle, but pleasant, and the glass bottle (instead of plastic) ticks my boxes. After learning more about safe ingredients, I understand the sodium citrate is used as a natural preservative, and the small amount of sodium chloride (salt!) helps with hydration.
