Sara Corlieson, Founder of Tailor Skincare shares her favourite festive skincare and makeup ritual, for a natural, holiday look.
Let’s face it: You’ve got enough on your plate getting everything organised for the silly season; what you’re going to eat, how to keep the kids entertained, what to buy your mother-in-law. Unfortunately, I can’t give you answers to the above, but there’s one thing I can help with - a simple, festive skincare and makeup routine featuring my favourite sustainable brands from HealthPost.
Like all HealthPost products, these are clean, green beauty products, which nourish and protect your skin while adding a natural glow.
For my go-to simple skincare routine and glowy, festive makeup look, watch my video here:
1. Prep your skin.
There’s no better base for makeup than clean, nourished skin. I use Tailor Oil Cleanse and Polish to remove any impurities and grime. I prep my lips for bright lippie with Tailor Balm.
2. Layer up.
#mumhack - I mix together all my serums and creams and apply in one go. I like to mix 1 pump of: Tailor Renew, Hydrate, Illume and Moisture. I don’t personally use foundation but if you do, try Tailor Hydrate as a primer. It has hyaluronic acid which creates a smooth barrier for your makeup.
3. Get glowing.
I use Tailor Glow Sticks to create glowy looking skin. Firstly, the shade Astra as a contour and blush, and as my eyeshadow. Astra is a beautiful rose gold coppery shade, which makes the green in my hazel eyes pop. I apply the golden shade Solar to the highpoints of my face; cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupid’s bow. I finish up with icy Luna in the inner corner of my eyes.
4. Lippie time.
A red lip is a holiday classic. I’m obsessed with Karen Murrell lipsticks, for this look I chose the shade Red Shimmer.
5. Eyes.
For the final touch, I used Lily Lolo mascara. This was my first time using it, and I loved it! Finding a great natural mascara can be tricky, but I recommend this one for adding volume to your lashes.
So there you have it! Enjoy creating your own natural skincare and makeup ritual these holidays.
